Avril Lavigne Hello Kitty

IT’s been described as an embarassment and a grating earworm and has left the music press wondering what’s happened to onetime rebel girl Avril Lavigne.
Lavigne has raised eyebrows with her latest music video release Hello Kitty from her self-titled album.
The song reflects the Canadian’s love of all things Japanese, including the ubiquitous anime character.
The brightly-coloured video features Lavigne prancing about what looks like Tokyo followed by four red-headed, robotic Asian women as she shows off her never fading exuberance.

The release has been met with largely negative reviews from the music community, labelled “an embarrassment” by Billboard, while EOnline said the video “will leave you sad and confused.”
But the pop rocker says the song has a double meaning.
“Obviously it’s flirtatious and somewhat sexual, but it’s genuinely about my love for Hello Kitty as well,” Lavigne told Digital Spy.
