"Mermaid"Stayce performs the main character in a underwater show "Little Mermaid" at Weeki Watchee Springs State Park on April 24, 2014 in Weeki Watchee, Florida. The 538-acre (235-hectare) park features a first magnitude spring and a 400-seat submerged theater for watching the live mermaid show. The park has been the home to underwater performances, now known as mermaid shows, since it was opened by former US Navy frogman Newton Perry as a road side attraction in 1947.
