Pamela Anderson’s 16 year struggle with Hepatitis C has come to a positive end, with the actress and model claiming to be fully disease free.
“I am CURED!!!’ the B.C. native posted alongside in a racy Instagram picture of her unlikely return to nude boating.
“I just found out #nomorehepc #thankyou #blessing #family #prayer #live,” the 48-year-old wrote. “I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still…#dontlosehope.”
Anderson was diagnosed with Hep C in 2002, when she said she got the virus after sharing an infected tattoo needle with her former husband, rocker Tommy Lee. She had been experimenting with alternative medicines before deciding to try a new anti-viral medication, People reports
“I don’t have any liver damage and I don’t have any side effects,” she told the magazine. “I’m living my life the way I want to but it could have eventually have caused me some problems and so it was a real blessing that I was able to get the medicine.”
